REAL gratefully accepts donations of a wide range of household goods and renovation materials from individuals, organizations or businesses. 

Items must be clean and in working, sellable condition, with all their parts, subject to assessment by our staff.  We cannot accept items that we cannot sell, as we will have to pay for their disposal. As space is limited, there may be times when we have to refuse an otherwise acceptable donation.  The Store Manager’s decision is final.     

Other items may be accepted or sold at REAL’s discretion.

• Everyday dish and glassware
• China and pottery
• Lamps

• Small working appliances (toasters, radios, can openers)
• Games and puzzles

• Any appliance containing coolant eg. dehumidifiers, water coolers, air conditioners
• Infant equipment (car seats, baby gates, cribs, walkers, strollers, highchairs etc.)
• Gas powered appliances
• Pressboard furniture
• Large metal desks
• Sports and exercise equipment more than 3 years old, except for antiques
• Hardcover text books and encyclopedias
• Children’s toys (but ask, we might put them on free table)
• Mattresses
• Large seasonal items out of season
• Fluorescent tubes or CFLs
