About Becoming Member

Active or Supportive? Members may choose to supportive or active members. Actives members will these contacted by REAL may determine their areas of interest, and suggest volunteer opportunities with REAL. Supportive members are kept informed of REAL’s activities the newsletter and REAL notices.

Our Newsletter and Notices Members receive five issues of our newsletter, the REAL Update, per year via Canada Post or email. Members with e-mail receive periodic notices of REAL events, volunteer opportunities, issues, or other regional events.

Our Membership List. REAL maintains a MailChimp mailing list. You may sign up yourself using the this link, or ask us to add you to the list. You can unsubscribe at any time. REAL does not share our list with other organizations.

Membership Term and Rights. Memberships are effective for calendar year. Members are invited to renew the membership each February, and to vote at Annual General Meeting held each June.

Download, print and complete the PDF Membership Form. Mail your cheque to Rideau Environmental Action League at Box address given on form, or leave your cheque and the black mailbox at front of REAL Deal, 85 William St. W., Smiths Falls. You could also leave cash with the Store Manager or cashier at store during store hours if you prefer.

Note: We not receive mail at 85 William St., so do not mail it there!

Renew by E-Transfer

E-transfer your membership fee to [email protected]. Choose security question which for “greenmoney” is answer. Include your name and the word “renewal” in comment field. Are new member wanting to pay by etransfer, please complete the online form (link provided below) or provide the information from membership in email to Karen Shecter [email protected].
