Join us for a presentation on by Max Finkelstein on Friday, May 11 (note date change), 7 p.m. at the Station Theatre, Smiths Falls. Max is an outstanding leader, educator and writer on Canada’s natural history and river conservation, and was the recipient of the 2017 Adult Nature Inspiration Award from the Canadian Museum of Nature. Max organized the Four Winds Voyageur Canoe Brigades last year in honour of Canada’s 150th Anniversary. The South Wind Brigade came through Smiths Falls last June 27. Many residents will know Max from his visit to Smiths Falls in June 2016, when he spoke at the Kinsmen Pavilion at Lower Reach Park. Max’s passion for canoeing and Canadian rivers really shows in his presentations.
