Elevated radon levels have been found in homes in every region of the country. Long term exposure to radon gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Come to an information session Monday April 1 to find out about this gas, how to test for it and how to protect our family if you find elevated levels in your home or cottage. Guest speakers will be be Manual Husain, Health Canada Regional Radiation Specialist; Bob Wood, Radiation Mitigation Specialist with Mr. Radon; and an introduction from a local Health Unit representative.
