Please don’t leave your donations outside of store hours!   It’s just a bad idea all round.  

  1.  It may be something we do not accept. Ask us or call ahead and we can tell you for sure, and perhaps direct you to an organization that will accept it.
  2. It may get damaged by the weather.  Even a couple of hours or rain or snow can ruin something to the point it has to be discarded.
  3.  It may be appropriated by someone coming by and we do not make any money from it.   (Staff who have been at the store when it is not open can attest to the steady stream of traffic looking for freebies.)
  4. We lose the opportunity to record its weight against your municipality.
  5. If it is ruined, it is garbage that we have to pay for just like anyone else.

We promise to do our best get that item into someone else’s hands, and get a fair price for it. We typically price an item at about 25% of what the item would be purchased new, with adjustments for its condition, the number of similar items we have in stock, and season.
